The No Fees for EFTs Act would reduce the burden placed on dentists by dental insurers, according to a May 3 news release from the ADA.

The EFT processing fees implemented by insurers lead to a reduction in the contracted rate between the dentist and the insurer, which prevents dentists from reinvesting in their staff and practice, the release said.

The bill has been introduced in the House and the Senate.
