The Arizona Senate recently passed a bill to expand the state’s adult Medicaid coverage to include comprehensive dental benefits.

Three notes:

1. The Arizona Medicaid program currently only covers emergency dental services for adults.

2. If the bill is passed, Medicaid contractors would be required to provide a maximum annual coverage amount of $1,000 per adult.

3. The bill was introduced in February, and was passed by the Senate earlier this month with a 24-3 vote.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
