Reimbursement rates in most states fall below 50% of dentist charges and 60% of private insurance reimbursement, according to new data from the American Dental Association.
The ADA recently released its “Dental Care in Medicaid Programs” report with updated information on dentist participation, dental care utilization, reimbursement rates and more as of 2025.
Here is the Medicaid reimbursement as a percentage of private insurance reimbursement for child dental services as of 2025 in each state:
