Henry Schein subsidiary acquires stake in dental PPO services company

Dental billing company eAssist Dental Solutions, a subsidiary of medical and dental supplier Henry Schein, acquired a majority stake in Unitas PPO Solutions.

Unitas PPO Solutions helps dental practices assess insurance participation, set fee-for-service rates and negotiate payer reimbursements. Mike Alder will continue to serve as CEO of Unitas PPO Solutions, according to a Jan. 5 news release. 

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
