Here are how three dental companies have pivoted and adapted following the attack:
1. Dental software company Carestream Dental updated its claims processing to help customers. It was able to reroute claims through its own clearing house and also restored insurance verifications for applicable payers.
2. Patterson Dental and Vyne Dental teamed up to expedite insurance claims from dental practices, providing “rapid resolution of insurance claims and attachments, real-time eligibility checks and electronic remittance advice.
3. Dental software company Henry Schein One began processing claims with a new clearinghouse after the cyberattack on Change affected its ability to process insurance claims.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place November 12–14 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
