The act would get rid of copays and premiums for all National Guardsmen and Reservists through the Tricare Dental Program, according to a June 21 news release from the National Guard Association.

Currently, only active-duty service members have access to free dental care.

More than 75,000 guardsmen and reservists are unable to be deployed because of dental health problems, the release said.

Rep. Trent Kelly and Rep. Andy Kim are the lead co-sponsors for the legislation.
