Medicare would cover dental under $3.5 trillion spending proposal: 4 things to know

Senate Democrats are eyeing both Medicare and Medicaid expansion in their $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill, reports The Washington Post and CNBC.

The proposed Medicare expansion would cover dental, vision and hearing. Currently, about 62.7 million Americans are enrolled in Medicare.

Medicare currently doesn’t include dental coverage, with limited exceptions.

No details were released about how the expanded coverage would be funded.
