A Michigan federal judge has denied class certification in a lawsuit against Solstice Benefits.

Brian Lyngaas, DDS, filed a class-action lawsuit in 2022 alleging that the dental benefits provider violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by sending advertisements via fax without permission.

A judge denied class-action certification Sept. 18, due to the recipients of the faxes being in-network providers and evidence that individuals consented to receiving the faxes, according to court documents.
