Due to the Medicaid eligibility redetermination process that began April 1, states can unenroll individuals who are no longer eligible for the state’s Medicaid program.
The approximately 14.2 million adults who could lose dental coverage represents 28 percent of adults currently enrolled in Medicaid, according to an April 14 report by NBC News.
California, New York, Illinois, Florida and Ohio are the five states with the largest number of adults projected to lose dental coverage, according to CareQuest.
