Oklahoma’s Medicaid program adds preventive dental coverage

The Oklahoma Health Care Authority recently added preventive dental care to its coverage for adults under SoonerCare, the state’s Medicaid program.

The additional benefits include cleanings, fluoride, periodontal scaling, exams, X-rays and dentures.

While there will be no copay for emergency services, non-exempt SoonerCare members will be charged a $4 copay per visit.
