  1. The first state passed legislation to adopt the Interstate Dental & Dental Hygiene Licensure Compact, with Louisiana passing HB543 into law without opposition.

  3. Dentists and patients in Fairfax County, Va., are continuing to struggle with the lack of dental hygienists in the state.
  4. The American Dental Association urged Congress to reauthorize and invest in dental workforce programs to increase access to oral healthcare in underserved communities.
  5. Massachusetts dental providers debated an interstate dental compact being considered by legislators.
  6. Vermont State Colleges is ending the development of its dental therapy program at Vermont State University in Montpelier.
