California has the most endodontists of any U.S. state, while Wyoming has the fewest, according to a recent ranking by the Kaiser Family Foundation.

The nonprofit compiled the data from Redi-Data after a special data request from the American Dental Association.

There are 4,334 active endodontists in the U.S.

States with the most endodontists:

California: 625

Texas: 309

New York: 298

Florida: 267

Pennsylvania: 183

States with the fewest endodontists

South Dakota: 11

Vermont: 11

Alaska: 10

Delaware: 10

North Dakota: 10

Wyoming: 3
