How staffing affected number of patients seen at dental practices

The number of patients seen at dental practices during the week of Feb. 14 was lower than the maximum amount staffing levels would allow, according to new data from the American Dental Association.

The data was featured in the ADA’s monthly poll providing insight into the economic challenges facing dental practices during a specific week. 

Average number of patients for the week of Feb. 14:

Maximum when fully staffed: 124.9

Maximum with current staffing situation: 111.1

Actually seen: 93.9
