In a June 29 letter, the organizations told legislators that workforce shortages decrease access to care for Americans. The letter noted several policies legislators can support to address these issues, including tax policies and student loan relief to alleviate financial burdens.

Twenty organizations signed the letter, including the American Dental Association, the American Student Dental Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place November 12–14 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
