Action for Dental Health Act of 2023 introduced in the Senate

The Action for Dental Health Act of 2023, which would reauthorize the Action for Dental Health program, has been introduced in the Senate.

The legislation, which was introduced Sept. 21, provides funding for an oral health workforce grant program for underserved communities, according to an Oct. 3 news release from the ADA, which has shown its support. 

The act is sponsored by Sen. Cory Booker and co-sponsored by Sen. Ted Budd and Sen. Mazie Hirono. 

The House Energy and Commerce Committee unanimously voted to advance the bill to the House floor for consideration in July.
