Hiring and retention were the biggest challenges facing dental practice managers in 2023, according to Dentalpost's 2024 Dental Salary Survey.
Dentalpost surveyed 413 dental practice managers from July to October 2023 for this year's report.
Here were the top seven challenges facing dental practice managers in 2023:
1. Staff hiring and retention: 69%
2. Transition to new ownership: 8.5%
3. Insurance reimbursements: 6.5%
4. Employee relations: 4.5%
5. Learning new systems: 3%
6. Filling the schedule: 3%
7. Other: 5.5%
