About 28% of dental practice managers plan to apply for new jobs by the end of 2024, according to Dentalpost's 2024 Dental Salary Survey.
Dentalpost surveyed 413 dental practice managers from July to October 2023 for this year's report.
Here are five more facts on practice manager job turnover from the report:
1. Seven percent of dental practice managers reported that they changed employment in the last 12 months.
2. The top reasons for changing employment were higher pay and better hours.
3. Seventy-five percent of practice managers reported that they achieved some or all of their goals by changing jobs.
4. Thirty-five percent of practice managers said they were considering applying for new jobs
before 2025.
5. Twenty percent of practice managers said they plan to retire within six years.
