Are DSO-affiliated dentists satisfied with their benefits?

Forty-two percent of DSO-affiliated dentists are satisfied or very satisfied with their benefits, according to Dentalpost’s 2024 Dental Salary Survey.

Dentalpost surveyed 534 dentists from July to October 2023 for this year’s report. 

Here is a list of benefits DSO-affiliated dentists reported receiving:

Medical: 76.19%

Dental: 66.67%

Retirement: 61.9%

Vision: 61.9%

Paid continuing education: 52.38%

Paid vacation: 28.57%

Paid holidays: 28.57%

None: 9.52%

Disability: 4.76%

Malpractice: 4.76%

The benefit affiliated dentists wanted most if they did not already have it was paid time off, according to the report.

Here are the satisfaction levels of benefits for DSO-affiliated dentists:

Very satisfied: 14.29%

Satisfied: 28.57%

Neutral: 23.81%

Dissatisfied: 19.05%

Very dissatisfied: 14.29%
