There has been an 11.6% decline in dental job postings in the last year, according to new research from Indeed.

Indeed’s Hiring Lab released its “U.S. Healthcare Labor Market Update” Feb. 20. The report highlights labor market trends for the fourth quarter of 2025 across seven healthcare categories: dental, therapy, physicians and surgeons, personal care and home health, medical technician, nursing and pharmacy.

Three notes from the report:

1. Dental job postings have declined by 11.6% in the last year, but are up 27.6% from Feb. 1, 2020.

2. Dental is one of several healthcare categories that have seen job postings decline in the last year. Pharmacy was the only category to see an increase in job postings in the last year, although all categories saw an increase since 2020.

3. All categories saw declines in wage growth during the six months leading up to December, except dental, which remained flat.
