The federal House Committee on Energy and Commerce voted to advance a bill that would reauthorize a dental workforce grant program.

HR 2001 aims to expand education, training and recruitment efforts for the dental workforce, particularly in rural and underserved communities, according to a June 2 news release from the Academy of General Dentistry.

The house committee voted unanimously to pass the bill May 21, advancing it to the full House for consideration.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
