Oklahoma legislators are considering a bill to join the Dentist and Dental Hygienist Compact.

The Dentist & Dental Hygienist Compact is one of two initiatives aimed at improving license portability for dentists and dental hygienists between participating states. The DDHC has been enacted in 12 states so far, with several other states having pending legislation to join.

The Oklahoma Senate passed SB 540 last month, sending it to the House of Representatives for consideration.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
