Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt signed a bill May 12 to authorize the state’s participation in the Dentist and Dental Hygienist Compact.

The Dentist & Dental Hygienist Compact is one of two initiatives aimed at improving license portability for dentists and dental hygienists between participating states.

Oklahoma is the 13th state to join the DDHC. Eight other states have pending legislation to join, according to the compact’s website.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
