The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine is partnering with the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville and Titusville (Pa.) Area Hospital to launch the state’s first regional training center.

The center will train general practice dental residents, hygienists and dental assistants, according to a June 5 news release. Trainees will begin providing services to patients under the supervision of dental school faculty in July 2026.

The center will provide hybrid learning opportunities, allowing students to complete their program without relocating and enhancing rural dental care.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
