California medtech company launches 3D dental division

Santa Clara, Calif.-based medical technology company Anatomage has separated its medical and dental business units to create a new subsidiary focused on digital dental products.

The new dental division, Osteoid, will be led by recently appointed CEO Calvin Hur. Anatomage’s founder and CEO Jack Choi will serve as an adviser to the new subset, according to an Aug. 25 news release.

Osteoid’s focus will be on 3D dentistry solutions, including the company’s Invivo 3D imaging solutions, its Invivo Workspace cloud-based platform and surgical guide products. The company also will continue to invest in visualization solutions for implant planning, orthodontic, endodontic and prosthodontic applications.
