Cigna, BCBS plans & more to participate in ADA’s streamlined credentialing process

The American Dental Association formed a strategic alliance with nonprofit organization Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare to simplifying the credentialing process for employers, dentists and dental plans.

Here are three things to know:

1. Through the alliance, the two entities create the ADA credentialing service, which CAQH ProView powers.

2. ADA credentialing services allows dentists to input a wealth of professional and practice information into a protected digital platform, which participating organizations can access once a dentist’s profile is complete.  

3. Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, Humana, BCBS of Michigan, Cigna and several other dental payers are participating in the credentialing process. Click here for a full list.
