Here are four notes:
1. The report found low-income adults were 10 times more likely to rate their teeth and mouth as poor, as opposed to high-income adults.
2. Cost was the main reasons respondents had not seen a dentist in the last 12 months, regardless of respondents’ income or age.
3. Forty-one percent of Medicare-eligible adults reported difficulty locating a dentist that would accept their insurance.
4. Of low-income respondents, 29 percent reported their teeth condition and mouth impacted their ability to interview for a job. Similarly, 28 percent of young adults had reported the same issue.
