Covered California expands access to adults — 3 observations

Covered California recently began offering dental insurance to adults, according to KCRA.

Here are three observations:

1. Covered California’s new plans for adults cost between $11 and $65 monthly.

2. At the California Dental Association’s free events, thousands of residents wait for free checks ups and dental work, illustrating the need for dental care access in the state.

3. Adults can enroll in Covered California now. If adults want coverage to start at the beginning of 2016, they must enroll by Dec. 15.
