Delta Dental of Mich., Ohio, & Ind., donates $75k to Hurricane Harvey victims: 4 observations

Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana have pledged $75,000 to the American Red Cross to help communities affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Here are four observations:

1. Hurricane Harvey has left thousands of individuals in Houston and along with Gulf Coast homeless and without basic necessities.

2. President and CEO of Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana Laura Czelada said, “We are proud to support the efforts of the American Red Cross to aid those who have been displaced by Hurricane Harvey. We hope out donation provides some immediate relief for people as they seek safe shelter, food and clean water.”

3. The company’s corporate citizenship and philanthropy efforts in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana totaled nearly $3.4 million to improve oral health and overall health in 2016.

4. Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana also provided $2.28 billion in dental care to its 8 million members in 2016.
