Dental Recycling International, South African Dental Association partner to reduce mercury dental discharge

 
Dental Recycling International is working with the South African Dental Association to reduce the impact of mercury pollution in South Africa.

The partnership will involve the installation of amalgam separator technology in dental clinics of four South African Dental Association members in order to limit dental discharges of mercury.

South Africa is a signatory to the Minamata Convention on Mercury, a global treaty to reduce anthropogenic sources of mercury, and the treaty has specific provisions for dental amalgam.
