DENTSPLY buys Sirona for $5.5B — 4 notes

 
DENTSPLY is purchasing Sirona Dental Systems for approximately $5.51 billion, according to abc news.

Here are four things to know:

1. The companies will have $3.8 billion in combined sales.

2. The combined company, DENTSPLY Sirona, expects to complete the all-stock deal in the first quarter of 2016.

3. For every Sirona share they own,  Sirona’s shareholders will get approximately 1.81 shares from DENTSPLY.

4. Sirona’s stock is currently valued at $98.60 following the closing price of DENTSPLY on Tues., Sept. 15.
