Drs. Robert Martino, John O’Brien & more: 8 dentists making headlines this week

Here are eight dentists in the news this past week.

Kitrina Cordell, DDS, received a $5,000 grant from the Academy of General Dentistry to develop an oral cancer education program.

Sara B. Northcutt, DDS, announced she will continue her involvement with Mid Tennessee Dentistry, which she founded, despite Marquee Dental Partners acquiring the multi-office practice.

Craig Spodak, DMD; Ron Goers, DDS; Amanda Canto, DDS; and Jennifer Koonce, DDS were among dentists who participated in the fourth annual Freedom Day USA — a national event where businesses across the United States offered free services to those who served in the military. The event was founded by Robert Martino, DDS.

John O’Brien, DDS, spoke with NPR about access to dental care in the rural United States. Dr. O’Brien is the director of dental operations at Marshfield Clinic, a Wisconsin-based community health center with more than 50 offices.
