Fox Chapel Advanced Dental Care brings dental care to Dominican Republic — 5 observations

Kevin Pawlowicz, DDS, and other Pittsburgh-based Fox Chapel Advanced Dental Care staff underwent a mission trip to the Dominican Republic to provide care to residents, according to Trib Live.

1. In February, Fox Chapel staff traveled to El Batey Bembe and Villa Hermosa in the Dominican Republic.

2. Thirty-two volunteers offered their services to local residents.

3. Fox Chapel is fundraising to build a second floor on the clinic, which will be solely dedicated to dentistry.

4. Fox Chapel staff provides services in the Dominican Republic twice each year.

5. The practice self-funds the trip expenses, which average nearly $1,200 per person.
