Free Clinic of Central Virginia receives $121,971 grant: 3 notes

The Lynchburg, Va.-based Free Clinic of Central Virginia received a $121,971 grant from the Virginia Health Care Foundation, according to the Lynchburg News & Advance‎.

Here are three notes:

1. The Free Clinic of Central Virginia provides low-income uninsured residents of central Virginia with dental, medical and health education services.

2. The clinic will use this grant to increase its dental care options, by adding paid staff and additional service days.

3. The Free Clinic of Central Virginia was one of many social service health organizations that received grants from VHCF. The foundation recently awarded more than $2 million in grants to various dental, medical and pharmacy organizations.
