Here are four things to know:

1. Through Henry Schein Cares, the medal program provides support to healthcare professionals around the world who provide care for those who do not have access to care.

2. Each medalist will earn a cash award along with $10,000 worth of Henry Schein products.

3. To be considered a candidate, applicants must be nonprofit organizations and demonstrate devotion to expanding oral care to children.

4. Honorees for 2017 include:

• Gold – Community Dental Care
• Silver – Interfaith Dental Clinic of Nashville
• Bronze – Gaston Family Health Services
