Retiring dentist Dr. Pat Patel donates practice to serve local community: 5 notes

Pat Patel, DDS, is retiring later this month and left the community he served with a donation to serve local residents, according to Advocate Tribune.

1. Dr. Patel is retiring from his two practices in Clarkfield and Cottonwood, both in Minnesota.

2. He has practiced in the area for 29 years, starting his practice in Clarkfield and later opening his Cottonwood practice.

3. Dr. Patel and his wife are donating the Clarkfield building and its entire contents to the city to ensure the area’s residents have access to dental care.

4. Born and raised in Uganda, Africa, Dr. Patel came to the United States and earned his bachelor’s degree from Augsburg College in Minneapolis.

5. He underwent graduate dental work at University of Minnesota’s Dental School in Minneapolis.
