Social media success: 7 easy but essential steps

Dental practices looking to grow their patient base through the use of social media need to stop thinking like marketers and start thinking like patients, according to a DentalTown Magazine article.

Here seven ways to effectively use social media to grow a dental practice, writes Dave Kerpen, founder and CEO of Likeable Dentists, and author of the article:

1. Listen first and never stop listening for what people are saying about you online.
2. Don’t tell your patients to like you or follow you — tell them why and how they should.
3. Be authentic.
4. Ask questions.
5. Surprise and delight your patients.
6. Share pictures and videos.
7. Spend at least 30 minutes a day on social media.
