University of New England set to graduate inaugural dental class: 3 insights

Biddeford, Maine-based University of New England’s inaugural dental class will graduate on May 20, 2017, Mainebiz reports.

Here’s what you should know.

1. Sixty-two students will receive doctor of dental medicine degrees at the university’s 182nd commencement ceremony.

2. The university founded the dental college in 2013. It is the first of its kind in northern New England.

3. Twenty-four of the graduating dentists are from Maine, with the rest hailing from 16 different states and provinces in the United States and Canada.
