Western Dental opens Oakland office — 5 takeaways

Western Dental, a leader in accessible and affordable oral healthcare, is opening a new office in Oakland, Calif.

Here are five takeaways:

1. Western Dental is accepting Denti-Cal patients.

2. At the opening on Nov. 17, Western Dental administered free dental screenings as well as a tour of the office, refreshments, giveaways and a chance to win drawings.

3. The 4,664-square-foot office will provide care to Oakland’s residents who lack dental insurance or those with Denti-Cal.

4. Less than 20 percent of California’s licensed dentists participate in the Denti-Cal program.  

5.  Western Dental employs nearly one-third of California dentists who see more than 100 Denti-Cal patients each year.
