SprintRay launches 1st FDA-cleared resin for implant-supported dentures

SprintRay launched OnX Tough 2, the first resin created for fixed, implant-supported denture prosthetics to earn FDA clearance.

Using the resin and the SprintRay workflow, dentists can print up to 10 fixed dentures in 30 minutes, according to an Oct. 10 news release from SprintRay. 

The traditional process for a fixed, implant-supported dentures can take up to six patient visits in addition to an extensive fabrication time; OnX Tough 2 allows for same-day restorations.

Dentures printed with the resin also have the optimal radiopacity for imaging diagnostics, treatment planning and the monitoring of healing and progress, the release said.
