The breach may have resulted in an unauthorized party gaining access to patients’ personal information, according to a Dec. 21 news release from First Choice Dental.
The practice worked with a cybersecurity firm to complete a forensic investigation of the incident and is currently analyzing the individuals and type of data that may have been impacted.
First Choice Dental has not yet received any reports of fraudulent misuse of any potentially impacted data, the release said.
