The initiative also aims to educate both patients and clinicians on the link between heart and oral health, according to a Jan. 16 news release from Delta Dental.
Oral health clinicians will work with the two organizations to create and implement heart health screening standards at dental practices by providing blood pressure screenings and referrals to primary care.
