The Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force is honoring Shadyside, Pa.-based dentist Larry Leahy, DDS, for his service to the HIV/AIDS community, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Shruti Shukla, DDS, acquired Westfield, N.J.-based Great Smiles General Dentistry from the retiring Elaine Swingle, DDS, Tap Into Westfield reports.

Erika Pitera, DDS, acquired Middleton, Conn.-based Sweet Tooth Pediatric Dentistry from the late Patricia Carta, DMD. Dr. Pitera visited Dr. Carta when she was a child, the Middletown Press reports.
