Fires, car crashes and a flood: 6 dental offices damaged in 38 days

Six dental practices were damaged recently in incidents ranging from fires to car crashes.

Six incidents Becker’s has reported on since Jan. 9:

1. A driver was injured after crashing into the entrance of Apple Family Dental in Longview, Wash.

2. Madison (Va.) Family Dentistry closed temporarily after a fire believed to have been caused by an electrical malfunction damaged the office.

3. Two San Luis Obispo, Calif.-based dental offices were destroyed by a fire Jan. 27. The fire was possibly the result of arson and is under investigation. 

4. A dental practice in Clearwater, Fla., was allegedly hit by a drunk driver Jan. 21.

5. A 46-year-old driver died after crashing into the offices of a dentist and OBGYN in Aberdeen, Md.

6. The Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine’s main dental clinic temporarily closed following flooding.
