Here’s what you should know.
1. Hayner Hoyt Corp. Chairman and CEO Gary Thurston, the development’s general contractor, said Aspen Dental pulled out of its lease due to development delays.
2. Aspen Dental was going to anchor the City Center development. Their withdrawal prompted Robert Doucette, the project’s original developer, to sell his stake to Hayner Hoyt.
3. Mr. Thurston said he is considering other companies for the project and added Aspen Dental is welcome to come back if they wanted the space.
4. Aspen Dental issued a statement to Syracuse.com saying it would continue searching for a space that would meet its business and employees’ needs.
