DSOs moves, data breaches and more: 6 dental updates in Arizona

An Arizona dental practice was hit with a data breach, while several DSOs expanded their network in the state.

Here are six dental industry updates that have taken place in Arizona since March 28:

1. Kidiatric Dental and Orthodontics, which has locations in Chandler and Gilbert, Ariz., updated its safety practices after a former employee was arrested on multiple charges of child sex crimes.

2. Irving, Texas-based Specialized Dental Partners affiliated with a dental implants and periodontics practice in Chandler, Ariz.

3. Dallas-based MB2 Dental partnered with CooperMine Dental Studio in Rancho Sahuarita and Madera Canyon, Ariz.

4. The Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners revoked the license of Thomas Endicott, DDS, after a multiyear investigation.

5. A newly built retail center in Peoria, Ariz., that includes a Heartland Dental location sold for $11.1 million.

6. Phoenix-based Risas Dental & Braces experienced a data breach that may have involved the protected health information of its patients.
