Maryland dentist retires after 48 years of service

Dave Leatherwood, DDS, is retiring after 48 years in the dental industry, Cecildaily.com reported June 26.

Dr. Leatherwood, 74, graduated from The University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore in 1976. He then spent about 15 years serving patients in the Chesapeake City area before opening North East, Md.-based Indian Falls Dental Center in 1990.

Dr. Leatherwood’s last day serving patients is June 26.
