The University of Tennessee Health Science Center appointed Jon Ryder, DDS, as executive associate dean of its College of Dentistry in Memphis.
In the role, Dr. Ryder will provide day-to-day leadership and support the mission of the school led by dean Ken Tilashalski, DMD, according to an April 9 news release from the university.
Prior to joining the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Dr. Ryder served as associate dean of academic administration and as a clinical professor at the University of Detroit Mercy School and as dean at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine.
The dental school is preparing for its 2025 Commission on Dental Accreditation site visit, the release said.
