The High Point (N.C.) University Workman School of Dental Medicine has received initial accreditation from CODA to launch a one-year, full-time general dentistry residency program.
The new Advanced Education in General Dentistry program will start in July. The program will focus on areas including oral medicine and digital dentistry, according to an April 21 news release from the university.
Residents in the program will receive free tuition and be paid while in the program.
The initial cohort will include up to 16 residents, the release said.
The school welcomed its inaugural class of students last September.
