Milwaukee-based Marquette University School of Dentistry has launched a virtual externship program in partnership with the University of Campinas in Brazil.

The new program will allow American and Brazilian students to discuss the similarities and differences of dental education in their respective countries, according to a June 23 news release.

The program, which will begin in the fall, is open to third- and fourth-year dental students. It will include 10 students and five instructors from each school. Students will be divided into groups that will meet several times over the course of the semester to discuss various dental topics, including academic life, restorative dentistry, radiology treatment, pharmacology and handling of medical emergencies.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place September 14-15 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence. Apply for complimentary registration now.
