An Illinois woman was recently sentenced to two years of probation for practicing unlicensed dentistry, WTVO reported July 16.

Monica Davis, operator of The Veneer Experts in Schaumburg, was charged in April with running a dental practice without a license. The owners of the building asked The Veneer Experts to leave after a receptionist received multiple calls from customers complaining about the business.

Ms. Davis was previously arrested for practicing dentistry without a license in Nevada as well.

Ms. Davis pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm earlier this month. In addition to probation, she was also issued a $512 fine.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Future of Dentistry Roundtable, taking place November 12–14 in Chicago, dental leaders and executives will gain insights into emerging technologies, practice growth strategies and the evolving landscape of dental care delivery, with a focus on innovation, patient experience and operational excellence.
